SEX EDUCATION in Secondary Curriculum

              The power of education can influence different minds and youth person in terms of acquisition of knowledge, facts and information as long as it suits their needs as an individual and a learner that seeks for consistent information and factual data. It will provide variety of information towards a certain idea like in sex education, its been an issue for a couple of years in implementing it, in the curriculum not just in Secondary but also in Basic level of Education. 

Department of Education (DepED) agreed about the implementation of having Sex Education as part of the curriculum since Secretary Mona Valisno emphasized that the contents of the reproductive health lesson modules that will be integrated in core subjects are scientific, informative and are not designed to titillate prurient interest of the students when we try to have Sex Education as part of the curriculum. She also said that “Our role here is to educate our young people on issues that directly affect them and empower them to make informed choices and decisions.” An idea that support that sex education is not thoroughly about having sex but also about how we take good care of ourselves or proper hygiene, about reproductive system and sex identity. It's not merely about having sexual intercourse with someone rather a transfer of knowledge that will help students in understanding the concept of "sex". Another is that, when we try to integrate Sex Education it doesn't mean that it will focuses only in one subject area but we can integrate sex education in different field of instruction which is called THEMATIC APPROACH. We can apply it in different fields that will help them to understand further the concept of Sex Education.

It was emphasized in other Asian countries having Sex Education as part of their curriculum had a positive output in giving importance in the Education aspect of the country.They actually had less percentage of the number of population and the youth were educated enough in terms of SEX. It will actually help our youth today to be open minded enough in terms of that matter and it will cater their curiosity about sex. As far as the information concern about it, there were almost 160 schools which  79 public high schools and 80 Elementary Schools having Sex Education as part of the Curriculum based on the data given by Education Secretary Mona Valisn. 

It will help our youth now a days to handle this matter with proper information and data given by having SEX EDUCATION as part of the Secondary Curriculum.

"What will be the next chapter of the Kagay-anon after the typhoon Sendong

     It was December 16,2011 that the Cagayan De Oro City and Iligan City experienced catastrophe that killed thousands of people. They lost their lives, houses and even more than they had.Nevertheless, how can we say that the people here at Cagayan De Oro City already recovered from the said dilemma?, do we think they will continue their lives as same as before?; these are the questions that we can associate after the dreadful event that we experienced last 2011. Actually after a couple of days, we saw people striving to survive after the incident like cleaning up and looking for their own foods to support their daily needs.Our government especially the local government here at  Cagayan De Oro City worked as if nothing happened and we can consider them irresponsible after the dilemma we had, before ending the year of Metal Rabbit.People waited for donations,support and ways to help them to stand again for their survival but why was it that we watched television and saw  people still suffering and asking for help because of the Typhoon Sendong.

COC -PHINMA provides a new start for all the COCEANS

The Cagayan de Oro College - PHINMA Education has almost 400 students victim of the Typhoon Sendong based on the data provided by the helped of Center for Students Development and Leadership(CSDL) with two officially casualties and two missing students as of January 6, 2012.

Cagayan De Oro College-PHINMA(COC) aims to support all the students who suffered  from the tragedy we faced last December 16,2011 through relief operation and providing the students with free  ID replacement and uniform exemption. Moreover, the Center for Students Development and Leadership(CSDL)has been the partner of the institution as a vehicle for all the donation and help given by any organization with kind heart.

Call To Me And I Will Answer Thee

 I just want to express that having faith to God is not our tasks but we should put in our mind that it’s our obligation as His creation. We should have faith on Him no matter what because he will never leave us in times of our circumstances because He loves us and he cares for us.
Prayer to God is the best thing that we can offer to Him. We can call him anytime we need Him just pray with all you heart and praise Him because He’s the best friend you never have. Be happy because His powerful friend that you can lean on.

Just offer to him and you will be happy and pray to Him. God Bless. Believing to Him is our way to have a good relationship and have faith.

Miniver Cheevy and Richard Cory

   

           These two personalities vary in different ways but the author presented the purpose of showing the meaning of life and the way we faced it in the middle of circumstances. The author made something different in presenting the two main characters that will open the mind of the readers in making conclusion out of what they had understood in the different poem that was presented by the author with vary situation and standing in the society.

        Richard Cory was praised by his peers and people really admired his totality in behalf of knowing no one in the society. Many people admired everything he had and many people would find it as a challenge to their selves to become as like Richard Cory because he had the well oriented personality that people would really aim to have, the economical status of him would also affect the way people really admired him, the author made an impact to the readers in making Richard Cory because money can’t buy happiness even someone you should be with.

      While Miniver Cheevy presented as opposite of Richard Cory in the poem, people in the society could not appreciated him because he had nothing to be proud of like Richard, he don’t have money as like Richard and people could not well-liked him because he had nothing but the life of being left behind and totally opposite to the life of Richard Cory. Somewhat you’re nothing in the society but you’re just simple as what simple people do.

       Even if the author made some deeper difference in presenting his two characters still the message is there and we can learn out of it that life must be taken seriously with compassion and commitment together with him no matter what.

             Living with unconscious mind believing with someone could attain what you want from what you had seen from other people. Since I had understood the poem understanding the thought of being Richard Cory, it’s been a hard time for me to have a conclusion about his personality as one of the wealthy persons in the society and he had shown the other side of his life and made some conclusion in the mind of the viewer. Learning out of it would make it as part of our life that his characteristics really matters in our own point of view even if we really don’t know the reason behind the smile and sadness in that person.

         His been good in the eyes of other people who knew him as one of the luckiest person in the world, a person with intellect, with education and well oriented but behind that image of him he can’t show to other people the real feeling he had. A person with power to influences other people through his mindset and well grown image but this power could probably answer what he truly mean in every single smile he gave to the people. He can hide what he had in mind and show the positivity of life even if he already experienced the unexpected dilemma in his life.

 In dealing with this personality could help us conclude that in behalf of many circumstances that may come in our life we should learn to accept every single thought of it even the pain is within it and we can’t find any support from our love one because we don’t have it in our life but the question was, why did Richard Cory committed suicide?

       We born in this world with different identity, understanding ourselves and dealing with problem but in behalf of it everything happens in our life has its own purpose.
